STUDENT SERVICES
The Student Services Department at the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center functions to maintain an environment where work skills, work habits, attendance, and attitude are continuously impressed upon students. Through the efforts of the Attendance Office, Guidance Office, Cooperative Education, the Special Needs Program, and the Evaluation Center, students are highly encouraged to commit themselves to ten basic responsibilities:
Come to school regularly and on time.
Come to school with an interest and a desire to learn.
Cooperate with your instructor and fellow students.
Apply yourself; use your innate ability.
Be ambitious and painstaking in your work.
Look and act the part of the occupation.
Plan for yourself desirable and attainable goals.
Become a dependable, responsible person.
Be willing to accept criticism and profit from it.
| Build group morale among fellow students; be extremely proud of the
occupation for which you are preparing.
|
These ten basic responsibilities are also used by employers to evaluate prospective employees. The Student Services Department assists students with securing an education whereby they may become a successful, productive member of our society.
