DENTAL ASSISTANT

  Course Description

If you are interested in pursuing a career in the dental field, the Dental Assistant course is the ideal one for you.  This particular program prepares the student to become an effective part of a dental team.  The education received by the student prepares him/her to effectively perform chairside assistance as well as all phases of office procedures.

The Dental Assistant program can be a stepping stone into other dental professions such as:  Dental Hygiene, Dental Laboratory Technician, and Specialty Assistant.

Job Outlook

Many local dentists have hired graduates from the Dental Assistant program.  These former students work in general dentist, periodontal, oral surgeon, and orthodontic offices and hospital dental clinics.
