Over the past few decades, Electronics Technology has advanced to the stage where electronic devices are commonplace in all phases of living. This considerable advancement and increase in the number of electronic entertainment, communications, work-saving, and industrial devices make a strong working knowledge of electricity and electronics essential. This up-to-date, comprehensive course in electronics meets all requirements for a modern, technical education in which DC and AC circuits, transistor and digital theory, and electronic applications will be taught so as to keep pace with a changing and increasing technology. There is also a new third year course based on the HTI+ certification. This course will focus on the design, installation and use of various electronic devices including security systems, Audio/Video systems and basic networking.

The emphasis throughout the course is on the analysis and understanding of both analog and digital electronic circuits. Numerous examples, figures, and labs will supplement the theory of each unit.

In order to achieve the highest learning and retention level possible, the student will learn by methods of lecture, textbooks, lab work, demonstration, audio-visual aids, and practical hands-on student application.
