CABINETMAKING/                                             
FINISHED CARPENTRY

Instructor:  David Palazzi

Course Description
The cabinetmakers are the skilled crafts persons who have served society working with wood, creating things of usefulness and beauty.  Shop work includes a study of safety, care and use of cabinetmakers' tools, application of these tools in joinery, adhesives and principles of gluing, shop drawing, cost estimating applied to projects, layout for machining and milling, and methods of applying materials for wood finishing.

Prerequisites:  Applied Math & Science, Measuring Skills (area, linear & perimeter).
