Over the years, a range of services have been created, revised, and expanded in order to promote this goal.

In the year 2000, the Job Placement Center has provided internet capability to all adult students for posting their personal profiles on the various internet job sites for employer review. Graduates have an opportunity to view and apply on-line for a trade-related job opening. This year, internet postings of student resumes has proven to be a very effective tool in the job searching process.

Some career-related on-line resources available to students include: PACareerLink, Career Mosaic, Career Path, Monster, America's Job Bank, Job Track, Nation Jobs, etc. Check out America's Job Bank for a preview of what is offered.

Communicating by e-mail enables one to learn about careers and jobs from the people who do these jobs, providing a unique understanding of potential opportunities. E-mail can be used to seek information, apply for jobs, and submit resumes.

A
ll resumes are created and formatted in MS Word and saved for future updates. Hard copies are given to the student upon request. If a student's resume requires updating or changes, the Job Placement Coordinator will update the resume and provide a new copy to the student for distribution.
