ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1.  Initially, the student will express to the home school counselor a desire to enroll in courses at the GACTC.

2.  Interested students will then complete an enrollment application which is to be filed with the Guidance Department in the home school.

3.  The Guidance Department will provide the GACTC with information about each applying student, including the student's past record of attendance, achievement, ability level, aptitudes, counselor and/or teacher recommendations, etc.

4.  Enrollment applications and evaluation/information sheets are to be forwarded to the GACTC by the home school Guidance Department.

5.  The GACTC Selection Committee will review all student applications and identify those students who will be recommended to attend the CTC.  Students will be notified of their selection by their home school Guidance Department.

6.  After the initial deadline for applications in February, student applications will be accepted for those programs still having vacancies until the opening of school.

7.  All students are encouraged to take the highest level courses available to them.  In the home school and at the CTC, all students should take full advantage of their abilities and courses offered.
